Hutchinson to support more than 14,000 REALTOR® members in the state

OKLAHOMA (Feb. 1, 2024) — The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® (OAR) is pleased to announce Bryan Hutchinson as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Monday, Feb. 12. Hutchinson brings a wealth of experience and leadership in the real estate industry, having previously served as the CEO for the Monmouth Ocean Regional REALTORS® and MORE MLS in New Jersey and the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® in Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bryan as the new CEO of the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS®,” OAR 2024 President Renee Hoover-Payton said. “His extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, coupled with his dedication to an association with REALTOR® members at the forefront, make him the ideal leader to guide OAR into the future.”

Hutchinson is a thought leader and strategist working with REALTOR® Associations and Multiple Listing Services (MLS). As a former business owner, real estate broker, and home builder, he served in several senior volunteer leadership roles within the real property industry. In 2018, Hutchinson transitioned from the private sector to focus his career on building strong associations and MLSs.

He regularly speaks and teaches on leadership-related topics and provides strategic planning services. A veteran of the United States Army, Hutchinson holds a master’s degree in professional development as well as the CAE, RCE, CMLX3 and PSA designations and is a Hall of Fame supporter of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). He recently moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, with his wife Karen and dog Otto.

“My wife and I are overjoyed to call Oklahoma our new home and look forward to being a part of the state’s continued growth and success,” Hutchinson said. “In assuming the CEO role for OAR, I am honored to lead an organization dedicated to serving REALTORS® and championing the vital conveyance of real property. Together, we will navigate the dynamic landscape of the real estate industry, ensuring that our more than 14,000 members thrive. I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of OAR, building on the strong foundation laid by its esteemed leadership.”

Hutchinson’s appointment comes after a nationwide search by the OAR CEO search committee, which was supported by NAR HR Solutions of the National Association of REALTORS®.

OAR is a pivotal organization connecting real estate professionals across the state, playing a crucial role in shaping Oklahoma real estate laws and regulations. The association works closely with the Oklahoma Legislature, serving as the state’s leading advocate for property rights and homeownership.

Notably, OAR is currently building a new headquarters in Oklahoma City to accommodate its growing team and initiatives. The 13,350-square-foot building, located off Broadway Extension, is set to include 15 offices, event and meeting spaces, a recording studio for the association’s podcast, “Talking Real,” a rooftop balcony and rental spaces. The completion of the new headquarters is expected in mid-2024.

Other upcoming initiatives from OAR include the annual Capitol Conference in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Feb. 13, and Wednesday, Feb. 14, and the 2024 National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Region 9 Conference held Saturday, Feb. 17, through Monday, Feb. 19, in Oklahoma City.
