The Professional Standards Committee examines complaints referred to it and determines if the complaint has sufficient substance to warrant an ethics hearing. It determines whether issues are arbitrable, and if so, whether arbitration is mandatory or not. The committee then conducts ethics and arbitration hearings for those allegations of ethical violations that need it. This training is required for committee members and available for those who wish to learn more about the professional standards process.
This training, in Edmond on April 7th, is one of two that we will offer in 2021. The other training will be offered online on February 25th. If you do not attend either of these training offerings, you will be removed from the committee.
Deb Thoman will be the instructor, and all participants will receive 6 hours of continuing education credit (PSC: professional standards and conduct).* The class will begin promptly at 9 AM and will run until 4 PM. Lunch will be provided.
